Tensioners (DW)
Ukil offers a wide variety of tension devices, from a simple post/disc, to a self adjusting dancer arm. There are also various models that combine different types of tensioners. For the most demanding applications UKIL offers an electromagnetic device with post control. A system which periodically blows air is included with each tensioner in order to keep lint from building up and causing tension variation. Each tensioner is designed to maintain consistent tension throughout the creel, side to side as well as front to back. All tensioners are built with precision craftsmanship in order to meet the most rigorous requirements.

Tensioner Options
UI-PD-C
Two sets of precision discs along with ceramic posts are using to create tension as the yarn threads through the device. The tension assembly can be rotated to increase or decrease the tension. It can also be threaded-up in a number of different ways which offers a wide range of tension setpoints in a single tension device. Tension ranges: 5-50g, 10-100g, 20-150g.
UI-OT-CA
Combines a post/disc pre-tensioner with a self dampening dancer arm which compensates for differences in package diameters. All eyelets and tension posts are ceramic coated. A balloon breaker is located at the entrance to the device. Tension ranges: 5-50g, 10-100g, 20-150g.
(AEI) YTC-2000
This tension device uses two precision chrome plated discs that rotate for cleaning purposes and an electromagnetic field to squeeze the discs together. The control system automatically adjusts each vertical post so the tension of the front packages are exactly the same as the rear packages. A photoelectrical broken end detector is located at each device. Tension range: 0-75gpe
UI-OP-C
Two precision rotating discs, chrome plated and spring loaded. Discs continuously rotate to automatically clean them while running. Tension ranges: 5-50g, 10-100g, 20-150g. Tension is automatically adjusted from a centralized motor driven system.
2-Bar/Yarn Clamp:
The V-creel uses a combination of 2 chrome plated bars and a yarn clamp to run at high speeds with low tension. The bars rotate open/close to pretension the yarn at start-ups. When the machine is stopped the yarn clamp holds the ends in place until the machine starts running again. An electronic stop motion is included in the yarn clamp.
STOP MOTION
A high voltage drop wire stop motion is located at each row and at the front of each creel section. The units automatically turn on when the machine is in run and instantly stops the machine when an end breaks. Alarm lights indicate the position of any broken ends.
